Born in Pittsburgh, John lived in Indiana a bit before growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He returned to Indiana to graduate with a degree in
Pre-Med and History from The University of Notre Dame. However, at the start of his senior year, John politely begged a professor to let him take
her— already full—acting class. By saying yes, she changed his course forever.
After graduating from Notre Dame, John moved to New York and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He joined the Actors Equity Association and continued to work regionally and in NYC before moving to Florida to get his MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training.
In addition to acting, John teaches, writes and produces. His first play, THE LOT recently won a writers challenge award from the Broadway Production of THE SOUND INSIDE by Adam Rapp.
John is an avid cyclist, traveling in circles in Central Park or to Jersey in back. He has lived as an actor in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Florida and Massachusetts but calls New York City home.
